Boom Beach: Sculpted Island in Edible Form

Where gaming meets edible artistry in a high‑impact brand commission

A high‑energy collaboration with Supercell’s Boom Beach, Animation Waste Creative and This Thing of Ours. This project brought the game’s iconic characters to life through large‑scale edible sculpture. Combining modelling, structural engineering, and vibrant character design, Emma created a showpiece that captured the humour, personality, and dynamic style of the Boom Beach universe for their special 10th Anniversary. From incorporating gelatine underwater sea effect to the final rock face, palm trees, sand and jetty details, every stage was crafted with precision and imagination — resulting in a centrepiece that became a standout moment for the brand.

Testimonials

“''I had the pleasure of working with Emma on a large birthday campaign for gaming giant Supercell, for their title Boom Beach. The concept involved building a 1m x 1m cake designed to look like a physical game set. Emma took our designs and brought them to life with precision and care. From day one, Emma was a pleasure to work with. She handled complex requirements with confidence and calm. Quality control is critical when working with gaming brands, and Emma not only met that standard, she exceeded it. She also attended the shoot and stayed on set to support the build, becoming a key part of the team on the day and helping ensure everything ran smoothly. Emma is highly skilled, dependable, and collaborative. I would happily recommend her and look forward to working with her again.''”

The Royal Mint

Cake or Gold?

Created as a corporate collaboration with The Royal Mint, this hyper‑realistic gold bar was sculpted entirely from edible materials, designed to mirror the weight, shine, and precision of the real thing. Emma met with the team at The Royal Mint to colour‑match the real bar in person, ensuring every tone, shine, and surface detail was replicated with absolute accuracy. The result is a flawless illusion that leaves viewers asking the same question every time: is it cake or gold?
