Artistic Journey

Born in South Wales, Emma Jayne trained in fine art and portraiture before discovering edible art through making birthday cakes for her children. Experimenting with edible paints and sculpting mediums quickly revealed a new creative path, blending classical artistry with innovative techniques.

Her breakthrough moment came when she approached the Cake International team about an ambitious “overhang” for a competition piece "AVATAR". The work was so striking that it was given its own display space—marking the beginning of Emma Jayne’s large‑scale edible art installations at the show.

Emma Jayne’s work is known for its emotion, storytelling, and technical mastery. Pieces like War Horse challenge viewers to think, while vibrant, unexpected colour choices and sculptural techniques inspire students across the world. She teaches both in person and online, sharing her belief that nothing is impossible in edible art.

Emma Jayne continues to take bespoke commissions, collaborating closely with clients to bring their ideas to life. Her legacy is rooted in joy, imagination, and the belief that edible art can be as powerful as any traditional medium.
